At your hygiene visit you’ll receive a gentle, professional cleaning by one of our hygienists – as well as an Oral Cancer Screening by Dr. Lunstrum. Some visits will include x-rays to help diagnose conditions or probing (measuring) of the gum tissue around the teeth to ascertain your periodontal health.
Additional hygiene procedures offered include:
- Sealants – for prevention of cavities on the chewing surfaces of teeth
- Fluoride treatments – for either:
- Cavity Prevention
- Sensitive Teeth
- Periodontal (Gum disease) treatment when needed – also known as a “Deep Cleaning”, which is only necessary in select cases where significant build-up exists below the gumline.
